Publisher and controller for support requests: DGU Consulting. Contact: contact@dgu-consulting.fr.
What the extension does
DGU Chat Cleaner lets you select conversations loaded in the ChatGPT sidebar and delete or archive them in a batch, after confirmation. It is an independent tool, not affiliated with OpenAI.
Data used in the tab
The extension processes the titles, identifiers and links of loaded conversations, along with menu, confirmation and error text needed for your requested action. This information is used to present the batch, identify conversations and display the result.
It does not request access to your email address, passwords, authentication cookies or overall browsing history. It does not scan message contents to store or analyse them.
Storage and transmission
Version 0.2.0 includes no publisher server, analytics service, advertising or payment mechanism. It does not send conversation data to DGU Consulting or to a third party. The selection and summary are held in memory while the panel is in use; their references are released when it closes. The extension does not persistently save conversation data or processing logs.
The only preference saved in chrome.storage.local is the language choice: auto, en or fr. It stays on this device and is not synchronised by the extension. Automatic mode uses the browser interface language: French when it is French, English otherwise. You can change this choice in the panel; uninstalling removes this preference.
To delete or archive, the extension activates ChatGPT commands in your existing session. ChatGPT then sends the necessary requests to its own service under its terms and privacy policy. DGU Chat Cleaner does not control processing performed by ChatGPT.
Your control
You choose conversations and confirm the batch before any action. You can request a stop after the current conversation. A completed deletion is permanent; stopping or uninstalling does not undo it.
You can close the panel, disable the extension or uninstall it in Chrome settings.
If you contact support
The support link opens your email app with the recipient and the subject “[DGU Chat Cleaner] Support”. It does not prefill conversations or diagnostics and sends nothing automatically.
If you send an email, DGU Consulting processes your address, message content and any attachments to answer your request and resolve the reported issue. This processing is based on its legitimate interest in providing product support. Correspondence is accessible to those responsible for support and to email providers needed for delivery and storage.
Data is retained while handling the request, then only for the period needed to follow up on the issue or defend rights in a dispute, subject to applicable legal obligations. Do not send private conversations, passwords or authentication tokens.
You may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of your support data, and object to processing under the conditions set out by applicable regulations, by writing to the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
This presentation website
The DGU Chat Cleaner presentation pages contain no forms, advertising, audience measurement or tracking scripts. They are hosted by Vercel Inc., whose infrastructure may process technical connection data needed to operate and secure the website. This processing is separate from that of the extension; see Vercel’s privacy policy.
Other pages on dgu-consulting.fr are covered by the website privacy policy.
Changes
This policy describes the current version. Any future payment, licensing or synchronisation feature will require an update reflecting the data actually used.
